In our efforts to help reduce energy consumption and to conserve our earth's precious natural resources, Toshiba has developed the compact flourescent lamp. This compact flourescent lamp helps to conserver energy by using only 20% of the electric power needed to operate an equivalent 60 watts incandescent lamp. This means the Toshiba compact flourescent lamp will deliver 60 watts of light output while using only 12 watts of electricity.
In addition, since 80% of the energy used in a 60w lamp is lost in the form of heat, incandescent lamps.....while highly popular and inexpensive.....are grossly inefficient light sources.
The compact flourescent lamp's are not only as bright as incandescent lamps but will operate considerably cooler due to less power consumption.
